How To Start Feeling Good
Are you depressed and tired of being depressed? Do you feel that your depression isn’t going away? Â In fact, are you someone who feels that no matter how hard you try, depression won’t leave you alone.
This article is going to shed some light on depression and any other negative forms of feelings such as stress and anxiety you may be experiencing right now. I am going to give you three insights that are so clear and so easy to implement, that by the time you finish reading this post you’ll be feeling good again, back to your old happy you.
In North America 1 in 3 people are diagnosed with a mental illness and depression is a serious form of mental illness. Â It affects your mind from doing things you want to do; such as excercise, eat right, smile, chores, responsibilities and whatever else you planned. Â You name it, you guess it, depression is one tough cookie to get rid of.
The reason it’s so hard out getting out of the state of depression is because it affects the mind, the hard drive for your computer; your body. Â I remember when ever I experienced a break-up, I was so out of the loop of things in my life, it’s like I lost meaning to life. Â I didn’t know why I was alive, what made me happy, I was just so messed up mentally and physically, it felt like there was no soul in me.
So during those tough times where I was depressed with depression, I began to investigate myself internally; soul searching as they say. That means taking valued time to see what was bothering me inside so much.
I discovered that I had built up a bunch of insecurities that were not true, that were ultimately being the cause of my depression. You see, depression in my opinion is just another word for limit. Â We human beings have the need to always want more, to evolve, therefore, to overcome challenges we need to overcome certain limits about ourselves which is left to our destiny.
That being said, here is 3 Easy Steps in overcoming depression so you can start feeling good again:
1. Set Realistic Goals
Make short term and long term goals. Â Don’t be irrational when your setting goals; be as realistic as you can. Â You want to set the game up to win, so do things like; Smiling at someone I don’t usually smile to or, put some money aside for a vacation.
2. Commit to an Action Plan
So you set your goals and now you have a target you can see. But the fun has just began.  It’s time to bring out your dusty calendar and begin jolting away the things you want done, when you want done  and how your going to get your goals met.  Let’ say you just got out of a relationship, so a short term goal would be; overcome sadness.  Your long term goal would be; two dates per week in a months time.  How are you going to do it depends totally on how bad you want it.
3. Pride Yourself to Knocking Off Those Goals
Language is the most powerful form of communication our world has to offer. For example, Â when my muscles are giving out as I’m working out, I remember the Nike slogan Just Do It and I push myself. Those combination of words have so much meaning that by repeating them in my head, I get passed my limit. Â I prevent my depression.
So what are you waiting for!
Go now and grab your pen along with a piece of paper. Start writing down your short and long term goals.  Create and commit to your action plan and make sure those goals are met, somehow, someway. If there’s a will there’s a way.
Once you begin checking off your list, Â you’ll feel liberated and great about yourself.
That’s the art of Feeling Good. And,
Remember this,
“God’s delays are not God’s denials”.
